17 June - Queens Court

There was a large turnout at Queens Court to celebrate Gene Blackley reaching the age of 101.

As she entered the room with her daughter, Happy Birthday was sung with enthusiasm.

Gene, who I have known for several years was smiling and greeted all by name. This was followed by opening, cards, presents and being asked which food she would like.

A very happy occasion for everybody, especially Gene.

Special thanks must go to the very popular warden, Debbie for making sure the event was such a success.
