22 Sep - Macmillan Coffee Morning at The Fleece

It was lovely being able to attend a packed Fleece for their MacMillan Coffee Morning.

This event was organised by Isabel the Hotel Manager, whose mother sadly died of cancer three years ago. Last year a thousand pounds was raised. This year hopefully more.

All the cakes looked absolutely delicious and had been donated. Eventually I gave in and and had a small slice, along with a splendid pot of tea.

We also met Sarah the General Manager, who mentioned about the Coast to Coast walkers who stay and pass through the town.  She obviously cares and is a real hands on person.

A special thanks must go to the management for allowing this special coffee morning to occur and to the staff for making it happen.
