25 Sep - MacMillan Coffee Morning SFX School
What a pleasure it was to attend the Year 11 MacMillan Coffee Morning at St Francis Xavier School.
Libby and myself were warmly welcomed and taken to see the large array of cakes which were on sale.
We also met the organisers and found out why this charity had been chosen.
Suddenly, the hall was full and we were giving out stickers. The cakes were disappearing quickly, but everybody was waiting their turn and noise was at a minimum, despite the obvious excitement. Also, as with all events I have attended, politeness is key. Something which will keep them in good stead, for the rest of their lives.
My thanks to all the students and staff involved. I hope that you raised a vast amount of money. All the very best for the future.

Mayor of Richmond
