6 Sep - Mayor of Richmond's Civic Sunday Service

Thank you to everybody who supported my Civic Service at Richmond Methodist Church.

The service was led by the Reverend Jo Brown and the Reverend Kathleen Wood, who preached the sermon. My grateful thanks for their help in preparing, advising and their kind words.

The hymns were all sung in good Methodist fashion and am sure would have been easily heard by those passing.

A special thanks to the choir who sang a modern version of ' The Lord is my Shepherd.' Beautiful!

Besides the regular congregation thanks for making us all so welcome.

The chain gang were well represented, with The Chairman of North Yorkshire Council, The Mayor of Darlington and The Mayor of Hartlepool.

Local groups and organisations turned out in force and it showed what a great town we live in. People working with and for each other.

After the service, light refreshments were served. Thanks to those who carried out this task.

A very special service. Hopefully enjoyed by all. Thank you.
