'A Christmas Cracker Concert'

Last night, the Mayoress and I had the absolute pleasure of attending The Christmas Cracker at Tennants in Leyburn, and what an incredible evening it was.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the wonderful Sophia Stings, whose performance in the lobby set the perfect tone before the show even began. The evening was expertly hosted by Grahame Shepherd MBE, who was superb from start to finish,
We were treated to an outstanding programme of performances from the Service Children’s Community Choir, BlueBox Creative and Performing Arts, Carnagill Primary School, Le Cateau Musical Theatre Group, Richmond School and Sixth Form Dance, Risedale School, a vibrant Nepalese Community Performance, and the incredibly talented Grace Baker. The finale, bringing everyone together on stage, was truly uplifting. Two hours of non-stop entertainment that showcased remarkable talent, dedication and heart.
The event was organised by Angela Campbell and her fabulous team, who delivered a truly memorable evening. The aim of the night was to celebrate the talents of service children and our local community, spread festive cheer, and support wellbeing by creating a space where children feel seen, valued and part of something very special and that aim was absolutely achieved.
Our thanks also go to Ben Noble and Liz Latta, the musical directors, whose work brought everything together so beautifully.
A huge congratulations and heartfelt thanks to everyone involved. It was a tremendous success and a wonderful celebration of community, creativity and Christmas spirit.
