MND Charity Fundraiser

As Mayor of Richmond, my third event of the day saw the Mayoress and I attend a wonderful fundraising event in support of MND.
The theme was pantomime fancy dress, and everyone made such a fantastic effort from a beanstalk and Pinocchio to Dorothy and the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz, with the Mayoress looking every inch a fairy princess, and me embracing the role of the panto dame!
The food was incredible, the band sounded amazing, and the atmosphere throughout the evening was superb. As one of my chosen charities, the Richmondshire and Hambleton MND Group is very close to my heart, and it was an honour to be there supporting their vital work.
My sincere thanks to Ian and Cath Muir for organising such an amazing event and for their continued dedication to raising much-needed funds.
