Richmondshire Choral Society

On Saturday evening the mayoress and I headed out to the magnificent St Mary’s Church here in Richmond, where we I had the absolute pleasure of joining the Richmond Choral Society for a truly unforgettable evening of music.
We were treated to a breathtaking performance of Puccini’s Messa di Gloria and a wonderfully uplifting Chilcott The Twelve Days of Christmas. Under the skilled and expressive direction of Benjamin Noble, with the superb accompaniment of Jonathan Gooing, the entire choir sang with such passion, precision, and heart. It was impossible not to be moved.
The soloists delivered performances of the highest calibre,
✨ Cameron Robertson (Tenor)
✨ Graeme Danby (Bass)
✨ Rosie Bradford
✨ and the outstanding Amelia Durno, whose brilliance truly shone.

Each brought something unique and powerful to the evening, and their talent filled St Mary’s with warmth despite the cold December night outside.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who braved the weather to support this wonderful event. Your presence made the evening even more special. Richmond is so fortunate to have such incredible musical talent and such a dedicated community to support it.
A night to remember, and one that made us extremely proud to serve this beautiful town.
