Sara Cox's Great Northern Marathon Challenge

What an evening for Richmond! 💛🐻
As Mayor of Richmond, alongside the Mayoress Sherrie, we could not be prouder of our wonderful town today. The whole community came together in true Richmond spirit to cheer on the incredible Sara Cox as she brought her Pudsey to Pudsey Northern Challenge to our doorstep!
The crowds were absolutely amazing waiting patiently in the rain, smiling, waving, and ready to give Sara the warmest Richmond welcome imaginable. From the masses gathered in the town centre to the many lining the streets, the atmosphere was simply incredible.
Today showed the very best of our community, your support for BBC Radio 2, Children in Need, and, of course, for Sara herself, was inspiring. We are all so, so proud to call Richmond home and to see our town shine so brightly on this special day.
