What a fantastic day at the Scott Trial. As Mayor of the town

It was a real pleasure to attend and officially start this year’s Scott Trial — one of the most iconic and thrilling traditions. Even more of a privilege to set off all 190 riders as they took on the challenge with incredible skill, spirit, and determination!

The energy around the event was amazing riders, families, volunteers, and spectators all coming together to celebrate what makes Richmond so special. The Scott Trial is more than just an incredible test of endurance on two wheels; it’s a true celebration of community, heritage, and teamwork. It brings people from all over to experience the spirit and beauty of Richmond, and it’s something we can all be proud of.

A huge thank you to the organisers, marshals, landowners, sponsors, and every volunteer who helped make the day such a success. Your dedication and enthusiasm keep this event alive and thriving year after year.
