Last night, I had the great pleasure of attending an informative and truly impressive evening at The Garrison Headquarters in Catterick, alongside The Garrison Sergeant Major and The Garrison Commander.
The Garrison Presentation offered a detailed and eye-opening insight into the important work being carried out, and the subsequent tour of the facilities was nothing short of brilliant. I came away with a deeper appreciation for the scale, professionalism, and dedication of our Armed Forces based here in North Yorkshire.
As Mayor of Richmond, I am committed to strengthening the vital relationship between Richmond Town Council and the Garrison. It is clear that there is a strong foundation already in place, and I look forward to building on that—working together on future community projects that will benefit both Richmond and the Garrison alike.
A special thank you to Lieutenant Colonel Charlie P. M. Anderson and his outstanding team for the warm welcome and for making the evening so memorable. Your hospitality and openness were greatly appreciated.
Here’s to continued collaboration and community spirit between Richmond and our Armed Forces.
