What a truly egg-cellent day we had on Saturday in Friary Gardens π£πΌ
Our Easter Egg Hunt brought the community together in the most wonderful way, and I couldn’t be prouder to serve as Mayor of such a fantastic town. An incredible 196 Easter eggs were given out, a number that still amazes me!
The music was bouncing, the atmosphere was fantastic, and even the rain didn’t put the town off. Which says everything about the spirit of our community!
This event simply wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support and hard work of so many. Thank you to Wensleydale Round Table, Richmond Town Council, Richmond Meet, and Richmond Rugby Club for coming together to make the day such a success.
A special thank you must also go to the Town Council’s Community Committee, and to its Chair, Cllr Loo Morton, who as always did a fantastic job organising and leading the event.
Most of all, thank you to all the families who joined us, the mummies, daddies, grandparents and carers for your patience, enthusiasm and support. We truly had no idea just how popular the event would be, and your kindness made all the difference.
Seeing so many happy faces enjoying such a simple but joyful tradition was incredibly heartwarming. It’s moments like these that remind us what community is all about.
Here’s to many more events like this in our wonderful Richmond π
